Sweet dreams,
are not what they seem.
a nightmare,
a lion's lair.
thats what sweet dreams turn into,
and all in just a second too.

the candyfloss,
the merry-go-round's horse,
the rainbows,
the beautiful red rose.
the clowns at the circus,
the happiness!

turned into cockroaches,
and evil wizards with their hocus pocus,
darkness that fills the night,
that make little children shiver with fright.
the monsters with many teeth.
the shark at the coral reef!

all the fears of a three year old
could fill up a deep hole.
all the joys of a childhood told,
a true tale of gold.
